Mission statement

Preserving respect and dignity for the mentally ill, through partnership and choice. Comfort lodge is driven by the recovery model - thus enabling our residents to live a satisfying, hopeful and contributing life, even when faced with the limitations caused by illness.

We believe that people with mental illness deserve to live in the community with respect and dignity. Our aim is to assist our residents in the development of new meaning and purpose in their lives. To give our residents the required aid and support in their development of independent living skills.

Comfort Lodge Aims and Philosophy

• To provide a first class service to our residents ? where they are able to realise and maximise their potentials. Where they are able to acquire essential daily living skill such as budgeting, as well as participate in employment/training and leisure activities.
• To deliver a service that promotes equality and diversity.
• To deliver a service that promotes personal recovery of each individual resident.
• To deliver a service that is user led through respect and participation.
• To promote residents self-determination through self management.
• To provide a service that is fit for purpose and value for money.
• To deliver a service that promotes social inclusion, independence and choice.
• To deliver a service that is person centered ? where residents are supported and encouraged to attain necessary daily and independent skills. This will enable them to sustain their recovery and be able to move on and live independently in their own accommodation.
